Robert (the Bob) Burns' Day
For shame, I almost didn't wax poetic on Rabbie Burns' Day.
Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great Chieftan o' the pudding-race!
Aboon them a' yet tak your place, painch, tripe, or thairm.
Weel are ye wordy o'a grace as lang's my arm.
Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care, and dish them out their bill o' fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware that jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu' prayer, gie her a haggis!
Speaking for myself, I don't want anything that jaups in luggies either, so bring on the haggis (and requisite alcoholic side dishes) and high five to Rabbie on his day!
(Posted under religion as all such high holidays should be)
Personal Piss-off Rating: 14 Peeves (One peeve per wee sippa before the haggis)
Mood Swing Rating: Very amused; Amused: 100 Peeves; Mildly amused; Neutral; Waiting; Therapy Moment; Pensive; Mildly annoyed; Annoyed; Very annoyed; Pissed off; Very pissed off; Volcanic
