No pictures of the landing

The flight home was half an hour late leaving Heathrow hardly newsworthy. Once we were airborne the first announcement was "Would any physician on board please identify yourself to a crew member, to assist with a medical emergency." Just the thing I, a white-knuckle flyer, want to hear -- luckily, I'd had the presence of mind to increase my ability to intake alcohol during the course of my vacation and, as luck would have it, there was plenty of alcohol to be consumed on the flight home

Least favourite part of this flight (aside from that announcement) was seeing the cabin crew moving the presumably unconscious patient to the back of the plane.

Most favourite part of this flight (aside from landing) was having coffee not the KLM wannabe coffee.

More Charges, Less Caring

Is it possible that "the studios" deliberately promote people with talent and with problems that are 80 - 90% guaranteed to become public knowledge and therefore attract public interest? Or are rehab, drunk driving and other destructive behaviours so mainstream that "the studios" don't consider them publicity fodder?

Spears

Enough of so-called 'news' about Britney Spears. That K-Fed seems like a better choice for custodial parent says it all, yes? And OJ belongs in a psychiatric ward for the criminally insane a glass at your breakfast table, not in the news. Much better to hear about Michael "Gordon Gekko" Douglas returning to his nasty screen self in "Money Never Sleeps" (due for release in 2009).

Planning

The funny thing about pre-vacation time is, I am spending a whackload of hours at work (the thing from which I am going on vacation) to be able to go on vacation. Just a little creepy, yes?
