Joining the ranks of Alberta Bloggers

Ok so I took another step, I have added the Alberta Bloggers to my links, I guess this means that I am an Albertan. Have always felt that way since moving here though, feels better here that what it did in Ontario, land of Liberal supporters. BLECH

People, People, People

Further to Sunday's rant, An open letter to Canadians.

NRW, who ever you are, I don't give a rats ass about your opinion! If you want to believe the Liberal spin on everything that is your right, just like it is my right to want to Separate Alberta from the rest of Canada, Since I don't believe that you have read any of my other posts, I will give you a quick update on me.

I was born and raised in Montreal, left in '79. Spent the next 20 years living in  Toronto. Moved to Edmonton 7 years ago, and was never really interested in politics till the last Federal election, where, because of the assholes from the East, I became a Separatist.

I was shocked and dismayed at the thought that people would re-elect a government that had allegations of corruption leveled against it, and this was before the bombshells of the Gomery inquiry. If the people of eastern Canada are stupid enough to believe the bullshit coming from the mouths of the Liberal party via the media, without taking the time to think for themselves, then maybe, in my opinion, and I am not alone. Then the time has come to look at other alternatives.

In speaking to members of the Separation Party and other Albertans, I have found out that there have been attempts to get the Federal government to change. Nothing has worked.

Why would the Federal government and the East want to change the way that things are running?

You get Alberta to pay into Ottawa, you ignore what we want and have to say, and as a previous PM of Canada so eloquently  put it, you give us the finger.

And you want to know why we want out?

Every government may have had its share of scandals, but this is the worst one, ever. Every Canadian should be appalled at the levels that the Liberals are willing to go to to hold onto that little bit of power.

Pm [squared] wants us to believe that it was only a few members of the Liberal party, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, but we do have "gang laws" here in this country, and as such, IMHO, the whole Liberal party is and should be painted with the same brush.

The asshats in Ontario and the MSM want us to wait for the end of the Gomery inquiry, like good little Liberal soldiers. Well I for one, and again I am not alone in my thoughts,

DO NOT WANT AN ALLEGED CORRUPT LEADER LEADING MY COUNTRY!

If you want that alleged corrupt leader, leading your country, fine with me, that is your right. I will do what has been done on playgrounds for a long time. I will take my ball and bat and go home. And that is about what this amounts to. Alberta has been a net contributor to Canada, with no return on its investment for a very long time ( I have already done the research, you go and do your own).

Lets see how Ontario, and the rest of Canada, fares with out the money that Alberta sends in every year.

Or, like my previous rant, what are YOU willing to do to change things?

If you are not willing to write letters to your MP, MLA, the PM, and your premiere, asking for changes. If you are not willing to get involved in the next Federal election to get changes implememted, changes that will keep the country together.

Then STFU.com.

I am not interested in listening to your opinion!

An open letter to the subjects of Canada

This morning I have spent some time reading blogs, blogs that are saying the same thing, blogs that are crying out that our Liberal Government is corrupt, blogs complaining about Belinda Stronach, Chuck Cadman, Carolyn Parrish, to name a few, blogs that are complaining about taping conversations about vote buying, blogs complaining about money laundering through the RCMP. You get the picture, we are all saying the same thing, we leave comments on each others blogs to show we have been there and to pump up the numbers, and to some, that is important.

I am not sure that the leaders of our country are listening, I am not sure that  they care about what is being written about them, though I did read that Andrew Coyne is being sued, and his posts have supposedly been removed, so if you are going to write about our leaders, be careful what you say and how you say it.

Our freedoms are being taken away from us, and like sheep, we don't say anything and go merrily on our way. Big brother is taking care of us, or we do say something, and it is on our blogs, and we visit other blogs and leave comments to say we have been there and we agree with what we have read, and then we go back to our blogs and link to what we have just read with a new post, and so it goes, round and round, and all the while, our leaders just continue doing what they want.

Ask yourself, and be honest with your answers,

What am I doing to prevent this from continuing?

What am I willing to do to stop this?

Am I willing to start writing letters to my PM, MP, MLA demanding change?

Am I willing to volunteer to help with the next political campaign? (whenever that is)

I too am asking myself these questions, I have written letters to all of the above, and to my premier, I have become involved in a political party (Separation Party of Alberta), I am out trying to recruit new members, I am helping out with meetings, running the party and setting policies.

This morning sitting here, reading blogs, I have come to the conclusion that I am not doing enough, I am feeling frustrated, pissed off, angry, and a host of other feelings. I am going to double my actions to change things in this country/province.

Is Separation the answer, I really don't know, but it is something. I have always maintained that the first step in changing things is to get the attention of the other guy, make him aware that his actions are questionable, and not what is needed in the present situation.

Electoral reform is long overdue in this country, one half of this country can not keep electing a government and forcing the other half to accept their choices, further to this end, we have to change the way the house operates, just because a bill is defeated, shouldn't mean that the government is defeated as well. The bill in questions should be referred back to comitee to be reworked.

The speaker of the house needs more powers to control the members, and the ability to vote with intelligence, not just based on precedent (like we have just seen happen). The other person who needs to have their powers reworked is the Govenor General, they are supposedly the representative of the Queen/King, not a puppet for the ruling party with no powers, act with intellegence, if the ruling party has lost the confidence of the house (which is supposed to be a representation of the people), then it is time for the GG to get involved and force either a change in government, or to call an election.

We as Canadians need to become more involved with the way our government operates, we need to say that we won't stand for corruption, and foolishness.

The time for action is upon us.

What are you willing to do to change things?

Integrity....Whats that?

What the hell is going on in Ottawa?

Belinda Stronach has crossed the floor to sit with the Liberals, thereby giving the Liberals one more vote in the upcoming vote on the budget, ie a vote of confidence in the governing party.

This still doesn't mean that the budget will pass, there are still some independents that may vote against the budget, and the Conservatives and the Block still hold a one maybe two vote advantage not counting the independents.

Mr. Harper, and Mr. Duceppe, do not "waffle" on this important issue, forge ahead with your vote of non-confidence in this corrupt Liberal Government. There are still lots of us TRUE CANADIANS out here that do not want an alleged crook as our leader. Hold your heads up high and bring down this corrupt government, or at least lose trying to bring it down!

MSM

Ahh the good ol' days, when politicians were somewhat honest (VBEG), and the media actually reported the news, good or bad. What ever happened to those days?

With all the hoopla going around about the corruption with the Liberal government, we have the MSM (main stream media), telling us that we, Canadians don't want another election. Get you're heads out of your asses people. In this country, a minority government doesn't last, after the last federal election when word came down that the Liberals had formed a minority government, did you really think that it was going to last for the full 4 year term?

Add to the fact of a minority government, the Ad-Scam scandal, allegations of Liberal corruption, money laundering, violations of the Canada elections act with regards to financing, and everything else that goes with it, and the government MUST fall, the sooner the better.

Can you honestly say that you want an alleged crook running your country? I can't say that I do.

If the mayor or chief of police in your town had allegations of corruption leveled against them, would you want them to continue in power? Most of us are hard working Canadians, we don't travel in the circles of CEO's, CFO's etc. of major corporations, however, some of us actually have investments in some of these BIG corporations, if allegations of criminal activity were leveled against the CEO's etc. would you still have faith in their ability to run the company? I think not, so why do YOU want to give PM [squared] more time to possibly damage Canada further?

As far as I am concerned, if YOU are worried about the amount of money that this election is going to cost, it is a cost of doing business, that is what happens when we elect a minority government. For that matter, since this is really a Liberal issue, and not a Canada issue, maybe they should have to pay for the election.

The time has come for changes to the electoral system in this country. I am not going to suggest what these changes should be, I wouldn't even know where to begin, my suggestion is that a committee be formed to look into how to change things so there is equal representation across the country, a triple E senate, Elected, Equal, and Effective, and due to the controversy about the latest motions in the house of commons, what exactly constitutes a vote of confidence, or non-confidence.

This post started as a rant against the MSM, it still is. The time has come for the MSM to report on what is happening, giving us the full story, giving equal time to both sides of the issue, and giving us their (the reporters), opinion, not just what the editor wants you to say, because who knows, maybe the editor is a Liberal supporter and doesn't want the negative press.

As far as all these "polls" goes, I know that I have not been asked for my opinion on whether or not I want an election right now, I have not even been asked who I would vote for if an election was called right now. I think that the pollsters are just asking the liberal faithful in Ontario for their opinions, and then reporting hoping that the SHEEP masses will read about the results of the poll, and believe that PM [squared] should have more time.

It is a crying shame that the Queen's visit may have to be postponed due to an election, it is a shame that so many people have worked so hard to put on a show for her majesty and it all may be for naught. All I ask is that if the visit is canceled or postponed, that you place the blame in the right place. Squarely on the shoulders of our Prime Minister, Mr. Paul Martin, the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, the leader of the party embroiled in the biggest scandal in Canadian political history.

This is truly a Liberal scandal, it is, NOT, as is being reported a Canadian scandal unless you believe that the Liberal party IS Canada. We the citizens of Canada have every right to be pissed at the Liberal party of Canada for the levels of corruption and deceit that are being exposed through the Gomery inquiry.

The way that the system is currently set up there is only one way for us, the average citizen to show our displeasure with the ruling party. Don't re-elect the alleged criminals!
