Thoughts for the day

A FEW THINGS THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION

We here in Alberta are about to go to the polls on Monday, included in this election we are to elect four of about ten people for our SENATE, sounds easy enough, our illustrious prime minister had come to an agreement with our premier about appointing three of them after the election, sorta like starting the process of electoral reform, it has come out in the papers yesterday that our prime minister has changed his mind. Gee what a shock!!!!

One of the people at the heart of the AD-SCAM scandal has been linked to organized crime from New York City. Alfonso Galgliano who has held a bunch of different positions with the ruling Federal Liberals has been “fingered” as being a “soldier” of the Bonanno crime family.

Here I am out banging on doors trying to convince people that a change is needed, yes the name of the party is the Separation Party of Alberta, yes we have come out and said that once we form the government we will hold a referendum about separating within our first term in office. And yet people are still afraid of the word SEPARATION! How much more of the arrogance of the feds are you, the people of Alberta willing to put up with? What is it going to take to get you to realize that this experiment called Canada is no longer a viable option? The founding fathers of this country must be turning over in their graves at what has become of this country.

It is no surprise to a few people that I am out actively pursuing the need for change in this country. Maybe the message of separation is a bit too much for most. But I liken it to the cocking of a shotgun; first you have to get their attention.

EXACTLY WHEN ARE THE LEADERS IN OTTAWA GOING TO GET THE MESSAGE?

THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

AHHH THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL………..KISSING HANDS AND SHAKING BABIES……..

Oh wait that’s not it…….you know what I mean…….been out banging on a lot of doors for the only Separation party candidate north of Red Deer these last few weeks, and I can tell you that there is a lot of walking involved in this venture, especially since we have a lot of rural area to cover.

The word SEPARATION is putting a lot of fear into the people! The major response had been “not interested” in separating! Wait folks, the Separation party is only running a grand total of 12 candidates in this election, there is absolutely no fear of us forming the government and tabling a motion for separation, and having enough people to back the motion up!! We probably will not even form the official opposition, (but I can dare to dream). Too many things would have to happen for that little miracle to take place, like, oh, all the other parties being shut out of winning a seat. (Not going to happen folks)

I guess that the biggest thing we, the Separation party is going for, is to put one or two of our candidates in the legislature, this may cause Ottawaaa to take notice of what is happening here in the west, and maybe change the way that they look at us. Putting a member or two in the legislature may also cause King Ralph to not be so arrogant. (Once again, dare to dream).

Anyway, there are only a few more days before the election, and it is back out on the campaign trail for the last push, I will endeavour to post the results for my candidate some time after the election next week.

Till then……VOTE EARLY, AND OFTEN!!!!!

Election fever

Snifffffff………..hmmmmmm……the scent of another election is in the air!!!

Howdy folks…yes there is another election coming up here in Alberta, this time it is a provincial election, we have now sat through the Federal election, Municipal election and we are now going to go through a Provincial election, oh wait……did I forget that we also have sat through a U.S. presidential election as well. I think that most people out here in western Canada may be getting a little bit tired of all the hype and bullshit about elections, I know I am!! And what you ask am I doing about it, I am volunteering to help out the one and only Separation candidate that is running north of Red Deer.

The Separation Party of Alberta is running 13 candidates in the provincial election, which means that we will not in any way shape or form be forming the next provincial government, nor will we be forming the official opposition, unless we get extremely lucky and all our candidates get elected, and all the other seats go to one of the other parties. Folk’s…..that is never going to happen, but dare to dream!!!! (lol)

It could be extremely interesting though, if one or two of the Separation candidates win their constituency, and get to sit as MLA’s. It could get the Fed’s to sit up and take notice that there are also separatists in Western Canada as well as in Quebec, and then we’ll see what the Feds are willing to do to keep Alberta in this experiment called Canada.

Which talking about this experiment called Canada.

            IT HAS FAILED !!!!!

The vision that the founders of this great country had, when they sat down and started to discuss what to do with this great land, is not the results that we now have. They are probably turning over in their graves with the direction that our supposedly great leaders have taken us.

Oh wait here is another interesting thought for ya. If back in the ‘70’s, Quebec had of been successful in their bid for separation, we never would have been stuck with most, if not all of the Prime Ministers that came out of Quebec. For that matter, the 75 seats in Parliament, that are filled with the winners in the federal elections in Quebec, would probably have become non-existent!!! Which means that we would have a more equal balance of power across Canada, and then maybe, there wouldn’t be such an uproar from various regions across Canada about opting out of Confederation!!!!

Not trying to put the Newfies down or anything, they are such a fun loving people, just want to work hard and party harder, but it is interesting that they are also saying enough is enough, and they are starting to talk about separating from Canada. The issue here is oil and gas rights from offshore, they want 100% of the revenues, (gee what a novel concept). And the Feds are saying NO; they have to have whatever percentage they want of the revenues.

Message to our fearless leaders in Ottawa, if you are serious about keeping this country together, (remember what you have done to try and keep Quebec in confederation). The time is now to step up to the plate and start the process of change!!! The people that you are supposed to represent are talking and they are sending you a message.

ARE YOU INTERESTED ENOUGH, OR CONCERNED ENOUGH TO HEAR THE MESSAGE AND MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES?????
